THE BATTLE OF THE FLIP FLOPS

We've all been there, wether it's the Sunday afternoon at craven or just a long day at the beach. Those flip flops are never easy to put on. Unfortunately for this guy the earth was at an unusual tilt this day and every time he was on one foot gravity took over.

HOCKEY GAME AND A HAND JOB BEST FIRST DATE EVER!!

Sometimes I wonder why I never went to play college hockey and this is a big reason why, no way did this ever happen in the stands of the Art Hauser Arena. If the guy fans get treated like this I could only imagine what the players treatment is like. What guy hasn't put in a hell of an effort to get his chick to give him an handy in public, this guy succeeded sitting beside thousands of people. The people sitting all around him needed lids on there beer to keep any stray load out of there beer.

WHICH CANADIAN TEAM HAS THE BEST CHANCE TO HOIST LORD STANLEY

With the exception of the Ottawa/Pittsburgh series the other 2 knotted at one with Pitt up by a game. My question to you is, which of our 3 teams representing Canada can make the run to the finals only to lose in 7?

The Senators are in tough early, up against Canada's baby Sid theKid, and the rest of the defending Champs they have played them tough taking one of two in Pitt. only to lose there first home game in the nations capital. I've only had a chance to see one of these games and it was a 4-2 victory for Pitt. and if you were to ask me the Sens. may only have 2 games left. Sid is just too good and has so much power behind just him like Geno Malkin that Ottawa is in over there head. Anybody with a chance to knock off the homo's from Pitt have me as an instant fan...GO SENS GO!!

Again a Canadian team in deep against a duo of superstars, but after just 2 games the Habs are right there, winning game 1 in OT and blowing a 3 goal lead to lose in OT in game 2 it could just as easily be 2-0 Montreal. I laugh at the analysts all over the TV that were all over Alex the great because he never had a shot in game 1. Let him be, the guy doesn't score and it's panic button for everyone, so just like Ovi does he put up a quick 4 pts, and just so the panel is happy another 6 shots on goal. Montreal should be heading home with confidence even after blowing a big lead. If there D can slow down Ovi and Backstrom everything else is in there favor to win, I feel Montreal could make a great run if they can knock of the Presidents Cup Champs.

Last but not least we head out West where the Canucks are the favored team against a young and inexperienced Kings squad. If you ask me they should roll the Kings but stranger things have happened, for the sake of my playoff pool I pray they make a run and its money in the bank for me. The biggest question surrounding the Canucks is wether Bobby Lou can get hot and be the backbone for a very potent offense. If thats the case I think the Canucks are favored to come out of the West and right now our best bet to bring Lord Stanley North of the border.

Let me know your thoughts.

does anybody else hate phil mickelson??

Is it just me or does anyone else think phil mickelson is the biggest dork on the tour. i understand that dork is a really dorky way to describe someone but thats the only word i can think of that truly captures the way phil carries himself. Every time phil makes a shot he makes that goofy smile to the croud, walks like an ape and then nods his head to the croud as to say thank you a hundred times on the way to his next shot. i would rather have seen anybody else but phil win the masters and that even includes K.J. Choi who i am convinced is a robot.

Maybe i am being an ass because phil has had some family issues and usually you would cheer for a guy like that to win just because of his harships but i just cant bring myself to do it. is it wrong that i hate phil? am i the only one who hates phil for his dorky mannerisms?

streaking jays!!

So the blue jays are doing it to me again......giving me hope at the start of the year when we all know that its all going to fall apart very soon. currently the jays are 5-1, winning 5 straight since the opening day loss and with only philadelphia(6-1) having a better record in the majors so far this season. But the Jays will have a tough time with chicago coming to town for 4 games, including the home opener, then the angels visit toronto for another 3 games. I think this will be an early test for the jays to see how much depth they really have on the mound and see if they can produce runs on a nightly basis.
But it has been a frustrating trend for blue jays fans the past couple of years because every year its the same story, they start out hot, usually leading the division for a while then a steady decline to the basement where they seem to feel more comfortable. So the question is how long will it last this year? We cant truly believe that we will compete with boston and new york for the entire season but a respective third place in the division and a record above .500 would be satisfactory with me. The jays need to do some rebuilding so with a couple solid years in their pocket then maybe some bigger names will want to come to toronto to play. then its back to the 92' 93' glory days in no time.

So we'll put this one up to the readers, how long can the jays keep winning?

HEEEEEE'S BAAAAAAAACK!!!!

It's finally here, Tiger is back on the course, I can actually start enjoying the sport on TV again. The networks that work with the PGA are throwing parties in anticipation for the monster ratings there going to receive when the new bad boy of golf tees off tomorrow. I will never hold anything against Tiger, I may not agree with what he did mostly for the fact that his mistresses were an out of 10 average of 6 and his wife is a 12. I was and still am a huge fan of Tiger because he Dominates golf and has changed the following of the game by winning tournaments. I wasn't a fan of him because he was a great husband and dad. The amount of people that only watch golf when he's in is insane, over the last two seasons the tournaments Tiger golfs receive almost 3 times as many viewers. Glad your back Tiger! Just don't get busted with any hookers because Elin isn't at the Masters.

Brett Favre is a Grandpa!!

NFL Superstar Brett Favre has become a grandfather at the age of 41. If he decides to comeback to play for the Vikings, he will become the first grandfather in NFL history to play. USA Today reported that Brett Favre’s daughter, Brittany Favre, has already given birth to a son and states the news was confirmed to ESPN by Brett Favre. It has now been confirmed that Brittany Favre gave birth to Parker Brett on April 2nd. He weighed in at 7lbs. 7oz. and is doing well.

This is kind of crazy isnt it? i guess its commendable because the guy is playing some of the best football of his career in one of the roughest sports in the world when hes 40 years old and now it turns out hes a grandfather. seriously, my grandpa has two fake hips and a fake knee, i just cant see him scrambling for a first down after the pocket crumbles and there are six men the size of a geo storm chasing you down. Obviously my grandpa is a little bit older than Favre but its just the principal of the matter, a grandpa just doesnt belong on the football field, they should be retiring in florida playing 36 holes a day. Thats the way i see myself when i'm a grandpa, especially once this blog takes off and im making millions, retiring in florida by the age of 40.

Jays Opening Day Loss

So the blue jays blew the opener today against texas in dramatic fashion. The jays had a a 4-3 lead heading into the ninth inning and brought in Jason Frasor, who by the way doesnt have a very solid save record at 32 for 342 career. So the rangers pumped Frasor with 4 hits and came away with the victory. On a positive note Marcum looked really solid going 6 1/3 innings without a hit and Wells (3/4) and Lind (3/3) looked really good at the plate with both hitting a homer each.

So lets take the positives from this season opener and not think about how our let us down in the ninth because we did get some decent offense and obviously Marcum was phenominal. Lets just hope that Marcum will gain some heavy confidence from opening days outing and keep that kind of dominant pitching going.

Video of the day

Classic dumb and dumber scene. Its funny ever since this movie came out whenever someone spills the salt somebody always has bring up this scene along with a quote or two and the obvious throwing of the salt over your right shoulder. This clip is just packed with quotes that are still heard all the time, really some lines that have withstood the test of time from one of the funniest movies of all time. Enjoy

The facility -- Sierra Tucson -- specializes in drug, alcohol and sex addiction, as well as other disorders. TMZ broke the story last night.
Multiple law enforcement sources have told TMZ when a CHP officer stopped Jesse last Friday on the 10 Freeway near Blythe, CA. -- for driving without a front license plate and driving with tinted windows -- James told the officer he was going to Arizona to try to save his marriage to Sandra Bullock.
We have now learned from our law enforcement sources that James was specific -- that he was going to a rehab facility in Tucson.
A TMZ producer called Sierra Tucson and spoke with a therapist, who told us Jesse was at the facility and in fact had a 6 PM treatment Tuesday night.
Jesse's rep acknowledged he's in rehab.

The newest in ways to make cheating OK. Honey i have a problem, this is what's now being called the "Tiger Woods defense," when your girl catches you enjoying some slumming around time. Come on guys let gets serious, every guy with any amount of money and fame has a sex addiction, sorry check that, any guy that breathes has a sex addiction problem. The money just makes it easier to get the goods, it's always easier for a drug addict to quit when they're broke. Now being the second celeb. to try this to save his marriage in the recent months with an absolute bombshell of a wife, kudos to them for trying save the marriage. Elin Woods give me a call, I'm broke as hell, which adds the trust factor, and will massage your feet and cater to your every need all you want.

This one is from the pink panther and is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time so enjoy and get ready for many more videos sure to give you a good laugh even on your worst days.

p.s. DA-BUUUURGER

SIR COULD YOU SEND SOMEONE TO RESCUE MY NUTS

A man got a nasty surprise when he tried to get out of his deck chair and found that his testicles had been stuck between two slates of wood. Mario Visnjic had been swimming naked off Valalta beach in Croatia and his testicles had shrunk in the cool sea. When he sat down they slipped through the slates and then, as he lay in the sun, expanded back to normal size. He was freed after he called beach maintenance services on his mobile phone and they sent a member of staff to cut the chair in half.

Tough day on the beach! How this is even possible is beyond me. When this guy was in the ocean was he already trolling with his berries as bait? They must have been sagging plenty to begin with to just slip through a crack in the beach chair like that.

Canadian Celeb. of the Day

One of my favorite Canadian women, not only is she an absolute smokeshow but she also digs hockey players... win win, a true Canadian. Unfamiliar with some of her work? I recommend you get off your ass and immediately go rent "Girl Next Door" That movie should eliminate any doubt of her smokeshow'ness.

NFL Players are Dumbasses

Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was arrested today after he allegedly took a loaded gun into an Ohio airport.

Our sources say it went down at 12:20 PM at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

We're told a security officer working an X-ray machine saw the .45-caliber handgun in Rogers' carry-on bag and immediately called police.

Rogers was immediately taken into custody for carrying a concealed weapon -- a felony of the 3rd degree.

You have got to be kidding me. How dumb do you have to be to take a loaded gun into an airport and attempt to sneak through security with it in your carry-on bag. Its almost like players get beaked in the dressing room if they havent been put in jail for doing something stupid like shooting themselves in the leg or raping a girl. Like they need to complete this wierd supidity right of passage similar to ancient warrior tribes, however theres were a lot cooler like killing a lion or taking a bite of a buffalo's heart just after you killed it. The NFL's right of passage is working with the cops to come up with the dumbest way of getting arrested, and Shaun Rogers is getting praise from everyone for his actions.

Tila Tequila is a Melonhead!!!!

Even Tila Tequilla is getting ready for the riders season this year. gotta love it

p.s. for those of you that have been living on mars for the last 50 years true saskatchewan roughrider fans wear a hollowed out watermelon on their heads to show their true colors while attending the games. basically the sweetest tradition in sports today. here tila is obviously sizing a good melon up for her next adventure to the beautiful city of regina

BLUE JAYS LIGHT UP THE DOCTOR

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Vernon Wells locked in on a pitch from Phillies ace Roy Halladay -- the face of the Blue Jays' franchise for the better part of the past decade -- and swung, sending the ball lofting high into the air in right field for a third-inning flyout Wednesday at Bright House Field.
As Wells headed back to the dugout, a strange thing happened.
"He actually talked to me," Wells said.
What was Halladay's message?
"He said, 'Have a good year, V,'" said Wells, who then smiled. "A full sentence."
It was a brief moment that could only have occurred during the relaxed environment of Spring Training. Truth be told, Halladay probably only allowed himself to take his intensity level down a notch because Wells just recorded an out. Fellow Blue Jays Aaron Hill and Adam Lind said Halladay did not speak a word to them, but they each collected a hit off the ace in the first inning.
With five days remaining until Opening Day, this was the Jays' first look at Halladay since he was dealt to the Phillies in a complicated series of trades in December. On a pristine day under a clear Florida sky, Halladay donned his new red and white uniform and gave Toronto's hitters a whole new appreciation for his skill on the mound.
"He located all his pitches on me," Lind said. "I didn't see anything over the plate."
That includes the first-inning cutter that broke sharply in on Lind, who yanked it down the right-field line and into the corner for a double.
"It was inside," Lind said. "Two strikes, I kind of had to swing. Those pitches are hard to pick up out of his hand."
Lind added that something looked different about the pitcher, too.
"He's thinner than I thought he was," Lind said with a grin. "It could be the red."
Before the game, Lyle Overbay said he was not going to swing at anything Halladay threw his way. True to his word, Toronto's first baseman took the first three pitches he saw in the first inning. Overbay was forced to alter his approach, though, and flew out to center field.
"He kept throwing me good pitches to hit," Overbay said.
Halladay did not completely overwhelm his former teammates, though. The Jays actually offered a rude welcome during their first reunion since the trade. In the first inning, Toronto pounded out four runs on five hits, including two doubles and one home run.
Jose Bautista led off with a double that carried to the wall in center field, and Hill followed by drilling the first pitch he received over the wall in left field a two-run blast. The blast came on a sinker that Halladay left high enough in the strike zone for Hill to capitalize.
"I knew what he was trying to do," Hill said. "With him, from watching him so much, you just have to get a ball up. He's so good at keeping it down."
Following Hill's two-run shot, Lind followed with a double off the good doctor. Three batters later, Edwin Encarnacion pulled a pitch down the third-base line and into left field for another two-base hit to plate Lind. Toronto shortstop Alex Gonzalez followed with an RBI single, putting the Jays ahead, 4-0.

Anyone whose ever been a Jays fan should have zero anger towards the Doc, but you have to admit it's kind of nice to see the Jays spank him around the diamond and hand him a loss. This trade still angers me to think about, I know Halladay wanted out and I don't blame him, with 148 wins and 49 complete games in 12 seasons and zero playoffs appearances it's about time the all-star would want out. The anger lies with management in a blockbuster trade that featured a 3 team trade headlined by 2 all-star ace pitchers and some nobodies and prospects the Jays sent the face of the Jays away for.......just prospects????? I think we've been in the rebuilding stage long enough, it's time to go after some meaningful assets that will help us win now. I'm sure this move cost the Jays more fans than they know, with opening day just around the corner maybe the jays should try and suck for the first month then get hot instead of the exact opposite and fail to make the playoffs.

Riders add Two new Runningbacks

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced today they have signed import running backs Lavarus Giles and Marcus Thigpen to contracts. Financial details of the signings were not released.

Giles (6’2 – 215 lbs) played for Jackson State and in his senior year accumulated 87 carries for 555 yards and five touchdowns in 12 games. In addition to playing football at the high school and college level, Giles claimed a number of track and field awards in the 100 and 200 metre dash. The 24-year old signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in March, 2009. In four games played with the Bombers, Giles had 14 carries for 54 yards and two touchdowns. The Mississippi native entered the CFL in September, 2008 when he signed as a free agent with the Calgary Stampeders.

Thigpen (5’9 – 190 lbs) spent four seasons at Indiana and finished second in school history with 2,009 career kick return yards, third with 4,658 career all-purpose yards and tied for eighth with 21 career touchdowns. He became the first player in school history with over 1,000 rushing yards (1,621), receiving yards (1,028) and kickoff return yards (2,009) and became the 19th rusher in school history to cross the 1,500-yard rushing barrier and just the fifth player in Indiana lore to go over 4,500 career all-purpose yards. Thigpen also finished fifth in Big Ten history with 2,009 kick return yards, tied for third with three kick return scores and shared sixth with 81 kickoff returns. Prior to signing with the Riders, the 23-year signed a free agent contract with the Denver Broncos in August, 2009 and originally signed with the Philadelphia Eagles in April, 2009.

This giles character kind of seems like a duster to me, even though he did have a decent career in college and had 2 touchdowns in 4 games with the bombers what is the deal with posting his track and field accomplishments in here. that just proves to me that hes got nothing to say about himself except he was a track geek and the coach of the football team was watching the track babes work out one day and seen a kid that can run, then eventually convinced him to put some pads on, threw a ball at him and told him RUN FORREST, RUN!!!

However this Thigpen kid seems legit. Hes pretty much re-wrote the record books at his school and the only reason i can see that he didnt stick in the NFL is because hes only 5'9 and 190 lbs. so i'm looking forward to seeing him in action at mosaic stadium this summer.
